Can you make money with a DIY CNC mill?
When I started this DIY Machining adventure, the goal was to learn how to run a CNC machine. As my knowledge grew, other questions surfaced. I asked myself “can you make money with a DIY CNC mill?” This experiment is on going, I am happy to report it is possible to make a few dollars using a DIY CNC mill. Will you get rich, probably not. If you have a CNC mill our router, I encourage you to think about what you might build and sell.
My Etsy Shop
Check out some of the items I make and sell on my Etsy shop. All of these are machined using my DIY CNC mill running the Arduino CNC controller.
While many of the items available in my Etsy shop are machined on my DIY CNC mill, sanding and finishing often takes longer than the machining of the part. Be sure to keep that in mind when you price your products. If you see something you would like to make, feel free to send an email to me. I am happy to share the designs.
I recently add a Creality Ender 3 Pro 3D printer to my arsenal of robotic minions. This has been a joy to learn to use. As with my CNC mill, there was a learning curve. Check out some of the items I am making with my 3D printer.
